What is a listing-to-video tool?
Listing-to-video is software that takes a published car listing — the photos, the price, the mileage, the details — and produces a finished video ad from it with no filming and no manual editing. It differs from a plain image-to-video model by also choosing the shots, ordering the story, setting the numbers in type and adding music and branding.
Definition
A listing-to-video tool reads a car listing and makes the video ad. The input is a link, or the photos plus one line of details. The output is a video for a listing page or social post. Available sizes and branding options depend on the product.
What it does that image-to-video alone does not
An image-to-video model animates one photo. A listing-to-video tool does the whole job around it:
- picks the strongest photos and puts them in story order — the car, the headline number, the mileage, the standout option, the price;
- adds motion to the photos; generated details still need review;
- reads the price, mileage and power from the listing and sets them in type;
- cuts to a track on the beat;
- adds the dealer’s logo, colour and card;
- exports the sizes it supports; VanillaSky offers portrait 9:16 and landscape 16:9, not 4:5.
What to check in one
- Are the numbers read from the listing, or typed by a model? Typed numbers drift.
- How far does the camera move? Wide moves invent parts of the car. Smaller moves reduce how much the model has to invent; inspect the result.
- Does it alter the photos? Check whether it keeps your original background or generates scenery, and compare the car with your source photos.
- Is the price per car or per month? Inventory-based pricing matches how a lot works.
VanillaSky costs $5 per car and background, paid after you review your car and before generation. That includes up to five versions with the same background, including the first; failed attempts do not count. A new background costs another $5. Choose portrait or landscape and a style; duration and delivery time vary. Start with a supported listing link, a VIN for AutoTrader, Cars.com, CarGurus or KBB, or upload your photos.
